First Day of Snow

“Today was the first day of snow. It occurred while I was on my way home on the train. I didn’t notice the falling as I was too preoccupied reading news that bored me, but I did. what had fallen. It was as if someone had thrown a thin coloured film over the city and I finally noticed the effects of the holiday lights. As I walked outside I realized it was still snowing but very lightly. So lightly I couldn’t see the flakes themselves but clouds that dimmed my sight and cloaked everything within it.

Though some people prefer white Christmases I prefer them black since a white Christmas means a cold one whereas a black one means a warm one.”
